    2006广东国际旅游文化节暨泛珠三角旅游推介大会由国家旅游局和广东省人民政府共同主办，广东省旅游局、文化厅、侨办、外办和广州、深圳、江门、湛江、肇庆等市人民政府承办。

    Guangdong International Tourism and Culture Festival & PPRD Tourism Promotion Convention 2006 is sponsored by China National Tourism Administration and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province. It is organized by Guangdong Tourism Administration, Guangdong Culture Bureau，Guangdong Overseas Chinese Affairs Office，Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office，Guangzhou Municipal Government，，Shenzhen Municipal Government，Jiangmen Municipal Government，Zhanjiang Municipal Government, Zhaoqing Municipal Government and other cities .

规模

主会场设在广州和深圳，分会场设在江门、湛江、肇庆市。开幕式会场设在广州，闭幕式会场设在深圳。活动贯穿粤北、粤东、粤西和珠三角四大区域和众多地级市，全面展现广东旅游文化资源。

Venue

The Festival sets its main venues in Guangzhou and Shenzhen and other  venues in Jiangmen, Zhanjiang and Zhaoqing. Guangzhou will be the host city for the opening ceremony and Shenzhen for the closing ceremony. At the same time, Festival activities will be held in other parts of the province, fully displaying Guangdong’s rich tourism and cultural resources.
 
主要活动

本届国际旅游文化节开幕式将于11月24日晚在广州天河体育中心隆重举行。在随后的几天里，泛珠三角旅游招商会、泛珠三角旅游促销会暨旅游展览会、泛珠三角花车大巡游、广东省群众戏剧曲艺花会、岭南民间艺术展演、“友城之夜”系列活动、“寻找广东最美乡村”评选活动、全球华文传媒广东采风行、第二届泛珠三角汽车集结赛等活动和赛事将在主会场轮番上演；深圳将举办2006广东国际旅游文化节闭幕式。而各地也将开展一系列多姿多彩、引人入胜的活动：珠海市将举办2006珠海“爱与分享”沙滩音乐派对；汕头市将举办第十二届潮汕美食节、第八届国际美食博览会和潮剧、潮乐优秀剧（节）目展演；清远市将举办英德国际英石文化旅游节、2006年连州国际摄影年展、第八届中国南岭瑶族盘王节等活动；湛江市将举办旅游商品设计大赛、湛江市工业博览会、廉江红橙旅游文化节等活动；茂名市将举办中国第一滩少数民族沙滩风情节、山地风筝节、冼太夫人文化节等活动；韶关市将举办旅游美食节等。金秋时节，好戏连台，精彩不断！
 
Main Activities

Guangzhou will host the grand opening ceremony in Tianhe Sports Center on the evening of November 24th. A series of activities will be held in the following days in Guangzhou , including PPRD Tourism Promotion Fair, PPRD Tourism Promotion & International Travel Exposition, PPRD Float Parade, the 5th Guangdong Folk Performances, Lingnan Folk Arts Exposition, Night of Sister provinces and Cities, Contest for the Most Beautiful Village in Guangdong, Guangdong in the Eyes of Global Chinese Media, the 2nd PPRD Car Rally,Guangzhou International Gourmet Festival, Decorated Boat Parade on the Pearl River and The Lantern & Firework Show on the Pearl River，the closing ceremony of the Festival in Shenzhen. Meanwhile, A series of inviting and diversified activities will stage in other cities as well, including “Love & Share” Beach Music Party 2006 and the 6th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, the 12th Chaoshan Food Festival, the 8th International Food Exposition and Selected Chaozhou Opera & Music Show in Shantou City; Yingde International Cultural Festival of Yingshi Rocks, Lianzhou International Photo Exposition 2006 and Panwang Festival of Yao Ethnic Group in Qingyuan City, Tourist Products Design Contest, Zhanjiang Industrial Exposition 2006 and Lianjiang Red Orange & Tourism Cultural Festival 2006 in Zhanjiang,Festival of Ethnic Cultures on China’s No.1 Beach, Hillside Kite Festival and Cultural Festival in Memory of Madam Xian in Maoming, and Tourism & Gourmet Festival in Shaoguan.
